March 1999 – Tim Hills: The yew grows in the wall SW of the chapel. There are signs of hollowing with thin internal growth. The spreading roots (seen from the adjacent field) and redness of bark are exceptional. Girth was 13′ 7” (414cm) at the top of the wall.
Percy Morgan’s notes from the 1980s recorded a ‘stump NE of the church which had been cut away quite a lot – the girth could have been between 15′ and 20′.’
