Notes:In 1983 Reg Wheeler recorded a girth of 655cm (21′ 6”) at 38cm. He noted a tree of ‘3 main stems – previous outer stem removed’.
August 1998 – Tim Hills: Furthest from the church of the two trees on the north side. In the process of fragmentation. A large piece of dead wood in the centre may be part of the original trunk. I recorded a girth of 26′ 3” (800cm) at 5′.
