Date of visit: 5-Aug-98
Source of earliest mention: 1775: Rev Sir John Cullum -Suffolk Record Office
Notes:1998 – Tim Hills: The ground was so overgrown that I was unaware of the existence of this stump.
In 2006 I was told that yew 8 had been felled about 25 years earlier. Girth of the stump was about 19′.
2017 – Paul Wood: There has been an attempt to convert it to a seat and plant something in it. The seat has fallen into disrepair, the plant has grown unchecked and the area is filled with weeds and brambles. It was difficult to tell amongst all this vegetation whether the yew was regrowing.
