Source of earliest mention: 1986: Churchyard yews of Gwent - J.Daryll Evans
Notes:February 2000 – Tim Hills: Tree 5 on the plan. Viewed from the churchyard it is a mess of twiggy growth. Viewed from the wall it was possible to see that the tree is hollow with a huge internal stem.
July 2016 – Paul Wood: Sadly inaccessible because of twiggy growth, ivy and rubbish, builders material, scaffolding, iron railings and broken grave monuments stacked against the the tree. On the plus side the tree’s foliage looked healthy.
