Notes:January 1987 – J. Daryll Evans: In his Yew Trees of Gwent recorded a tree of 510cm girth (16′ 9″) at 1m.
January 2000 – Tim Hills: Close to the ground I recorded 14′ 6″ (442cm). From its bole grows a poorly defined main branch. A large branch that once grew towards the road had been removed and crumbling red heartwood filled the space.
October 2021 – Tim Hills: It is no longer possible to measure meaningfully at 1m. I measured as close to the ground as possible and recorded 15′ 1” (460cm). The same girth was obtained using several hammered in nails, each between 8” and 1′ from the ground.
