Notes:September 1998 Tim Hills: SE. An elongated bole. Ivy had been treated and was dying. Girth of 18′ 6” (564cm) at 4′.
October 2002 – Russell Cleaver: On the east side of the church. Girth 18′ 2” (554cm) at 1.1m.
September 2012 – Peter Norton: Three nails embedded in trunk indicate the measuring height and with the tape angled to match the lean of the tree a girth of 17′ 1” (521cm) at 2′ 6” was recorded. The yew is hollow and has lost a significant part of the outer trunk on the west side of the tree. The outer trunk on the east side is very thin and will eventually disappear leaving this tree in two distinct halves. One prop is supporting a large branch, but has no thrust plate to deflect the force. At one time a flat iron band was used to support/raise a branch that would have hung over the path at the southeast gate. The branch has since been removed. Foliage looked thin. August 2020 – Dave Kenny: Lapsed pollard SE of church at SU7390547368. Measures 5.43 @ 0.76m, the height of embedded nails. One stem is propped.
