Notes:Tim Hills – February 2014: Tree 6 on plan grows south of the church. Its appearance suggests that it has been larger girthed. Dead sapwood on the outside shows that the main stem was once internal growth, probably in the centre of the original tree. Girth of 13′ 10” (422cm) close to the ground.
May 2017 – Paul Wood: Tree very much as previously recorded. I noted a number of dead and dying branches in the canopy. Foliage was deep green but much thinner than the other yews. Is this perhaps to do with other species planted nearby beginning to hide the sunlight and nutrients the yew once had to itself? There was much twiggy growth on the east and south side of the bole. Girth at the root crown was exactly 14′ (427cm). A spine of white wood visible in the centre of the tree on its west side.
