Notes:At the highest point on the mound. Spreading roots are now well above the ground. Photos 3 and 4 show a trunk that is detached from the main tree. It is possible that this began as an internal stem, enclosed by the original trunk, of which sections of its dead sapwood can be seen in photos 4 and 5.
