Tree ID: 1061
Yews recorded: Ancient 4m-5m
Tree girth: 480cm
Girth height: at 5cm
Tree sex: female
Date of visit: 10-Jan-98
Source of earliest mention: 1938: The King's England - Arthur Mee
Notes:October 2001 – Tim Hills: East of the church by a wall. An elongated bole which looks solid, though the mix of live and dead wood on the bole suggests hollowing is taking place. Girth was 15′ 3″ (465cm) at the ground and 17′ 3″ (526cm) at 5′.
September 2014 – Peter Norton: Opposite the east wall of the church is a female growing close to the perimeter wall. Its main stem is totally hollow but there are no basal cavities to allow internal viewing. Measured close to the ground (east side of the yew) where one nail indicates the height, the girth was 15′ 9” (480cm).
