Notes:Peter Andrews article records this yew as ‘impressive with a girth of nearly 17ft (5.18 m). Its trunk is hollow with a clearly visible long thin internal stem’.
Hugo Egleston adds that the hollow is on the side facing the road and that there are 2 internal stems of c4” diameter. The tree maintains its considerable girth for a height of about 10′.
