Peter Andrews 2005: At the time of visiting this smaller yew, with its strangely shaped trunk, was difficult to measure. It had a tree house in its branches.
Basil Watkins for the Ancient Tree Inventory 2023: Girths of 641cm at 1m and 400cm at 30cm recorded.
The tree is at SU9525839706. The old map shows that it would have once been a hedgerow tree. The land to the east is still a field while that to the west has become woodland.
