Seatoller - footpath

Tree ID: 3977

Yews recorded: Ancient 5m-7m

Tree girth: 600cm

Girth height: No data

Tree sex: unspecified

Date of visit: 10-Jun-12

Source of earliest mention: 2012: Peter Andrews

Notes:

The tree grows at the base of a low wall. It was probably cut down a very long time ago. The main parts of the trunk (the 3 central stems in the photo) are still joined together close to the ground, and girth around these was about 6 metres. The stem on the right appears to be connected to the same root system, inclusion of this would make the girth above 7 metres, while inclusion of the stem on the left would make that figure higher still.
