Notes:

This large piece of yew is on display in a covered part of the church ruin. A notice next to it states that this yew is ‘a relic of the famous yew which grew in Slebech churchyard. Its circumference was 13′ 8” and the Cambrian Archaeological Association on their visiting tour expressed their opinion that it was at least 800 years old’. So far no record has been traced of where this tree grew, its former appearance and why and when it was felled.
