Notes:

November 2003 – Tim Hills: Part of a hedge 200 yards from the site of St Margaret’s chapel. The land is privately owned. The yew grows close to a large rectangular block of concrete (purpose not known). All the growth is to one side of the original hollow bole, so a large expanse of dead wood is visible.
August 2005 – Tim Hills: Large blocks of stone piled up around the tree. Ivy taking hold. Thick trunks of elder grow close to the yew.
