Notes:July 2006 – Peter Andrews: The old yew stands just above the Abbey field on a band of chalk. I think it was almost certainly planted by the nuns.
January 2015 – Peter Norton: Large female yew on base of chalk hill, new barbed wire fence along edge of field did not allow for easy access, so no measurements taken. Ivy now apparent as well as some broken branches.
