Notes:On 7/2/1987 J.Daryll Evans reported that ‘All Common Yews are near the boundary to the south west. He recorded the largest yew with a circumference of 400cm (13′ 2”). This figure must be an approximation only on a tree which is impossible to measure accurately. In 2021 Doug Lloyd recorded a girth of 500cm (16’ 5”) at 50cm. His photos show the difficulty of measuring such a tree – with a hollow trunk and a large side opening.
