Notes:The trunk of this yew keeps swelling to a height of about 8′. Above this can be seen the cut of a former central rising branch. Around it, growing upwards, are many new branches. In the 8′ high platform were the remains of the Chicken of the Woods (Laetiporus sulphureus) fungus.
