Notes:

The yew is a hollow shell and grows next to stocks that have been sunk into concrete. The original trunks appear to have sheared off at some time – perhaps as a result of this it was felt necessary to cut back the tree so drastically. It appeared to be recovering well. Girth was 8′ 4” (254cm) at 1′ and 9′ 6” (290cm) at 4′. It is classified as V-con, veteran on account of its condition.
