Notes:A fine looking roadside yew. At the time of my first visit in August 2015 vegetation made it impossible to assess the tree. In February it was possible to tape the tree at the ground, where a girth of 25′ 2” (767cm) was recorded. The tree’s narrowest point was at about 65cm, but thick twiggy growth prevented measurement. I would estimate a girth of between 21′ and 22′. Animals are burrowing beneath this tree. The first three photos show the tree as seen from the road, the last two from the field.
