Tree girth: No data

Girth height: not measured

Tree sex: unspecified

Date of visit: 21-May-13

Notes:

Most of the trunk has been lost with this single leaning fragment all that remains. Further evidence that this is the remains of a very old tree is provided by a pamphlet about West Cliffe church written in 1938 by R.R.Campbell. He says that as you approach the church, you should notice ‘a decrepit old yew tree on the right, centuries old’.
With a girth of under 4m the tree is presently classified as notable. Because it displays veteran characteristics it will in the future be classified as V-con (veteran on account of its condition).
