Notes:

October 1982 – Allen Meredith: A female yew NE from the church. One side of the tree very ruined, side nearest to the church quite healthy. At 3ft from the ground measured 25ft 9ins (785cm). At 5ft from the ground girth was 27ft 10ins (848cm).
February 1999 – Tim Hills: All growth is to one side of its substantial bole. This consists of two main branches, while at the base where a third has been removed, new growth is establishing itself. The tree leans towards the church. When the large area of decaying wood disappears the yew will probably need propping and girth will be significantly reduced. Current girth of 19′ 2” (584cm) at the ground swells to 27′ (823cm) at a height of 4′.
October 2013 – Peter Norton: This impressive female grows close to the northeast corner of the church and has lost a major branch. A mass of aerial roots from the living wood into the decaying bole is much in evidence. The minimum girth was recorded as 19′ (579cm) at a mixture of root crown and 6” from the ground. Alder is beginning to colonise the under storey.
