December 2005 – Peter Andrews: This site includes to the west of the path a line of large yews on a bank – two with girths of about 17′. Further south two similar sized yews grow so close together they almost touch at the base.
April 2007 – Tim Hills: Site photos show this to be an area where yews punctuate the landscape, both as individual trees and groves. The photos above show the pair of similar sized male yews whose root systems are in fact joined. Another of the many large yews in this area is also shown.
