Notes:1988: The tree was measured by local primary school pupils. They recorded a girth of 10′ 0” (305cm) at 3′ and 8′ 10” (269cm) at 4′. It is unclear why Meredith estimated a girth as high as 270 years for this yew. nonetheless a certificate was sent to the church.
2024: The images from google earth appear to have come from different times. In one the trunk is clearly visible, in the other it is hidden behind dense vegetation.
