Notes:February 1999 – Tim Hills: Recovery continues from a single growth area with branching from about 12′. Girth at 5′ was exactly 18′ (549cm), but this will become less as the dead sapwood decays.
May 2006 – Photographed by Ken Taylor and the following information supplied from church guidebook (J W G Godeck, 1991): ‘The large and very fine Yew tree with its girth of 17 feet has been the subject of an appraisal by a National committee for the preservation of such veterans of our England Churchyards under the chairmanship of the popular conservationist, Professor David Bellamy’.
